| The Club |
MKARS was founded in 1958 and with over 100 members, the club is one of the largest amateur radio clubs in Britain. Based at famous Bletchley Park, the club has excellent facilities, including a well equipped club shack. At weekends we operate GB2BP, a popular resident special event station. |
| Our membership includes many experienced radio amateurs who can often help newcomers with advice and practical assistance.. Our hobby is diverse, and you will find that most individual members specialise in particular aspects of it. If you need information on any radio related subject, please ask. Any member of the Club will be more than happy to help you. |
Members are kept up to date by our monthly Newsletter and during our Monday evening meetings. We also have a dedicated Club web site that you can visit, and a useful Club e-group. |
At present our radio station is separate from the Club meeting room. Members are encouraged to make use of the shack and its facilities, on Club evenings, and especially on Bletchley Park Open Weekends. Please talk to the Station Manager for arrangements and more details. |
The Clubroom snack bar is open every Club night. Please refer to the tariff displayed by the till for prices. In the interests of everyone’s enjoyment and comfort, members are asked to keep the Clubroom and the shack clean and tidy at all times. |
Our Committee is elected during October of each year and is responsible for running the Club on behalf of the membership. The Committee considers feedback, and particularly new ideas from the membership, to be extremely valuable. Please be prepared to assist in the implementation of any ideas and ongoing events. |
Should you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to ask any member of the Committee. |

You do not have to be a member of MKARS to join the forum!
Our forum has four levels of access: unregistered Guests can see the public area but they cannot post. Registered Users can see and post in the public area. MKARS Members can see and post in an additional area for members only and Committee Members can see and post in a further area for Commitee members only.
We would like all our members to visit and register at the forum as this is becomming our main means of communication other than, of course, radio!.
