Welcome to MKARS the Milton Keynes Amateur Radio Society.

The club has nearly 60 years of history and an enthusiastic membership with very diverse interests. The club is particularly proud of the association with Bletchley Park and our successful training, for which we have introduced hundreds of members to the hobby.

Weekly Club Net on GB3MK - Sundays 8pm

There is a weekly net on the clubs 70cm repeater GB3MK. All members and prospective members are welcome.

GB3MK scheduled downtime

Our 70cm repeater GB3MK will be off air from 5th November due to electrical circuit testing at MK Council. We will have it operational again as soon as possible when testing is complete.

Intermediate Course now full

All the places on the Intermediate course have now been filled.

The next course is planned for September 2018

RSGB Contesting

Why not have a go at one of the RSGB contests? There are regular contests on the VHF bands. Registering your results is quite easy and will gain the club some valued points in the league tables. Contest dates are posted in the club diary on the left.

QRZ DX and The DX Magazine Publisher and Editor Carl Smith, N4AA, of Asheville, North Carolina, died on October 20. An ARRL member, he was 77 and had been a radio amateur and DXer for more than 6 decades

St Brandon DXpedition news

Our last communication goes back to several months but we didn't stay inactive! All tasks are going as scheduled. The logistical operations are going on and will soon be finalized. Transport to St. Brandon has been secured by a 50% deposit. It will be a 24h journey by boat between 3B8 and 3B7
