Welcome to MKARS the Milton Keynes Amateur Radio Society.

The club has nearly 60 years of history and an enthusiastic membership with very diverse interests. The club is particularly proud of the association with Bletchley Park and our successful training, for which we have introduced hundreds of members to the hobby.

Please feel free to visit us on our club nights or at any of the events in our diary.

2018 Construction Competition

Thanks to all for an excellent turn out, and a sizable number of entries for the club construction competition this week. We had a wide range of entries - everything from valve-based power supplies, to antenna switch units and ATU’s, to revamped kit-based station accessories, to QRP/digital transceivers and 23cm mast head amplifiers/pre-amplifiers and sequencing switching units.

The winning entry on the night was from Phil, G4FVZ, with his 80-10m 10W SSB/CW transceiver, with digital VOX for FT8 based on a uBITX board.

All contestants will present a little more on background to their projects later in the year.
