MKARS Members Run GB1SOE – 6th and 7th May on 7.035MHz

On 6th and 7th May club members with the special event station GB1SOE will be on the air from The National Museum Of Computing at Bletchley Park. This is to commemorate the first SOE agent to transmit back to the UK 80 years ago. His name was Georges Begue.
The equipment will be the usual set up of a National HRO receiver and a replica Whaddon MKIII transmitter. The same equipment used 80 years ago. There will be a display of original spy sets etc. We are located in the meeting room at TNMOC . On the right hand side as you approach the museum. The room will be well ventilated. Covid rules apply. On Thursday 6th May evening at 18:30 local time there is an online talk on the SOE by Dr. Kate Vigurs an authority on SOE.  Club members, John Pether and Peter Davies , will try and answer any questions after Kate’s talk.
