Club Meetings September/October 2022
Its been a busy few weeks. Thanks for everyone’s support at the recent MKARS BBQ and MKARS rally – both of which were very well attended and went well. The monies we took from the rally will help us keep our membership fees low for 2023 as we all go through some financial belt tightening.
As we run up to the AGM on 17th October, the MKARS programme looks like this:
Monday September 12th at the TNMOC @ 19.30 – Feedback on the recent Club survey. Come and listen, and discuss, the members’ output from the recent Club survey.
Monday September 19th – Launch Event – MKARS CW Group 19.30 at the TNMOC – run by Dave Jackson G0GQP. Beginner, intermediate or advanced – you are all welcome.
Monday September 26th; TNMOC @ 19.30 – Talk on ‘Finding DX using ‘spots’ by Phil Gould, G4FVZ – no this isn’t about nasty diseases, but a way of using DX alerting information to hone your DX operating focus and strive towards DXCC.
Monday 3rd October – No meeting – Committee Night.
Monday 10th October: TNMOC @19.30 – What’ s on My Workbench – an informal session discussing what projects you have been doing during the summer. Just turn up and get a 10 min slot to present your project.
Monday 17th October: TNMOC@19.30 – Club AGM – There will be a review of the year and our finances, and then the election of new committee officers. Some of our committee wish to stand down and this is the time to bring fresh ideas to help run our Club in the future. Please come forward. All paperwork for the AGM including the nomination process will be sent out very shortly.
